Within the evocative setting of the Clock Pavilion at Villa Reale di Marlia, the restoration of one of the most emblematic portraits of Pope Leo XIII has begun. The work, part of the rich collection of memorabilia dedicated to the Pontiff—who was the first in the history of the Catholic Church to be captured in an audio recording—bears the signature of painter Silverio Capparoni.
